Adam Farish

I have been working with and supporting families, couples and individuals for over 15 years. My approach is to consider a person not in isolation but as defined by their relationships with others. Through conversation I explore a person’s sense of self and their place in the world in relation to their family, friends, colleagues and anyone else in their lives that have impact.
The stories we tell about ourselves, and are told, help us to understand who we are, as individuals, as a couple or as a family. It is through gaining this understanding that I support clients to look to writing a more positive narrative of the future as well as addressing issues from their past.
As a qualified systemic practitioner I draw upon therapeutic models such as solution focussed, narrative and social constructionist as well as integrating other modes of practice to help clients achieve their goals
I am continuing my own personal journey by embarking on an MSc in Family and Systemic Psychotherapy this autumn where I hope to both broaden my experience and undertake research work which will aid my support of clients
I encourage anyone who may be considering systemic therapy as a useful approach for them to contact me for a conversation, which will of course be free of charge and carry no obligation, about what they are hoping to achieve and whether my support would be useful.
